Chelsea started the season with a win 3-1

In the Premier League, Chelsea defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 on the road in their first match of the new season.

In the match played at Amex Stadium, Chelsea closed the first half 1-0 ahead with Jorginho's goal in the 23rd minute.

Brighton scored tie with Leandro Trossard in the 54th minute, but the visitors won 3-1 in the 56th minute without the goals from Reece James and Kurt Zouma in the 66th minute.

Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, who are among the new transfers in Chelsea, who attracted attention with the names they added to their squad this season, were playing in the first 11, while Hakim Ziyech, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell were not included in the squad due to their injuries.
