Football players from Schalke gave up their receivables

In the Bundesliga team Schalke, team A footballers gave up their wages by 30 June to support the club.

Schalke 04 Sporting Director Jochen Schneider said in a statement made via the club's website that they discussed the effects of the crisis caused by the coronavirus with the players and received full support from the players.

Schneider said, "Unfortunately, the coronavirus affects us all. We need to support each other at such times. Our players took a great responsibility and showed how loyal they were to our club. We showed that Schalke 04 would be together on a bad day as well as on a good day."

Announcing that football players gave up their receivables until June 30, Schneider said that this decision will have a significant contribution to the club's cash flow.
