Inter, 22 years later in the UEFA Europa League final

Inter defeated Shakhtar Donetsk 5-0 in the UEFA Europa League semi-final, and became Sevilla's rival in the final.

In the semifinals of European football's number two club-level tournament, Italy's Inter team and the Ukrainian team Shakhtar Donetsk met.

The match between Inter, which won the cup 3 times, and Shakhtar Donetsk, who won the only championship in 2009, hosted the stadium with the same name as the German city of Düsseldorf.

In the 19th minute, suddenly developing Inter attack, Lautaro Martinez sent the ball centered on Barella's right wing to the net with a head shot. Inter finished the first half 1-0 with this goal.

Inter increased the difference to two in the 64th minute with D'Ambrosio's header, who rose from the corner kick to the middle.

Lautaro Martinez scored his 2nd goal and his team's 3rd goal with a shot from the penalty bow in the 74th minute.

Lukaku, who defeated Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Pyatov in the 78th and 84th minutes, made Inter score 5-0.

In the remaining time, the score did not change and Inter, who won the fight 5-0, became Sevilla's rival in the final.

Inter made its name to the finals for the first time since 1998 and for the 5th time in total.

The trophy will find its owner in the final match to be played at RheinEnergie Stadium in Cologne, Germany on Friday, 21 August.

Lukaku streak increased to 10 games

Inter's Belgian striker Lukaku became the first player to score in 10 consecutive UEFA Europa League matches. The 27-year-old player thus developed his own record.
