Klopp: "Not getting vaccinated is like driving while drunk"

Liverpool manager Klopp explained why he is in favor of vaccination with an interesting example.

Making statements before Liverpool's giant match with Manchester City, the German coach touched upon the issue of vaccination of players against Covid-19 in football, which has been discussed recently.

It was recently revealed that more than half of the players in only seven Premier League clubs have been vaccinated with a double dose, it has been suggested that the Premier League administration will give incentive awards to clubs that comply with their Covid obligations to encourage vaccination. While Jurgen Klopp explained that 99% of Liverpool players have been vaccinated, he also explained why he is a supporter of getting vaccinated.

When asked about the vaccination question, Klopp replied: “In my team, I can say that 99% of us are vaccinated. I didn't have to convince my players, it was a natural reaction of the team. I didn't tell the actors why they had to do this, I'm not a doctor."

“The only thing I could give, as in many other cases, would be my advice. It is no longer necessary.”

“But there's often an air of feeling that we shouldn't be giving advice to people. Where did I get the information to tell people to get vaccinated? I called the doctors I've known for years and asked, "What do you think?"

“That's why I got the vaccine because I'm in a somewhat risky age group. I am also very happy that I was able to get the vaccine.” “Maybe I'm being a little naive, but I don't understand why people shouldn't give advice on this. So if I say, 'I've been vaccinated,' people say, 'You tell me how to get vaccinated'. I can explain that for myself.”
