Kylian Mbappe confirms: I wanted to leave!

PSG's young star Kylian Mbappe has announced that he wants to leave the team during the summer transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain, which marked the summer transfer period with transfers such as Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achrah Hakimi, had an uncertain period in the domestic transfer.

It was claimed that the young star Kylian Mbappe, who had one year to the end of his contract, wanted to leave the team, and Real Madrid knocked on PSG's door in the last days of the transfer for a price of 180 million euros.

The French star confirmed that he wanted to leave the team during the transfer window we left behind.

Speaking to RMC Sport from the French press, Mbappe explained the process as follows:

“I said I wanted to leave because I didn't want to extend my contract. So I wanted the club to generate a transfer income and fill my place.”

“This club has given me a lot and I was always happy here. I spent four years here and I am still here. I announced early enough that I wanted to leave so the club wouldn't be in any trouble.

“I wanted everyone to come out of this process well. I said, 'If you don't want me to leave, I'll stay.'"

“My stance was clear, I made this decision early enough. I didn't specify that I wanted to leave during the last week of August, that would have been a robbery. At the end of July, I announced my decision to leave.”
