“La Liga must not let Messi go!”

Getafe President Angel Torres thinks La Liga needs to step in for Lionel Messi to stay in Spain.

Messi, whose contract with Barcelona expired at the beginning of July, could not sign the official contract, although he agreed on a new contract with the Catalan team.

Messi agreed to cut his salary by 50% and reached an agreement with Barcelona on a five-year contract.

However, due to the financial situation and the fact that La Liga has exceeded the upper limit for salary, Barcelona has not yet been able to issue a license to Lionel Messi and other new transfers.

Getafe President Angel Torres also thinks La Liga should take the necessary step to continue Lionel Messi's career in the league.
