Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick: No bonus for Haaland transfer in my contract but he is a great player

Manchester United's new manager has denied claims that Haaland will receive a bonus if he wears the Red Devils jersey.

Ralf Rangnick, the new manager of Manchester United, appeared before the cameras after signing for the English team, while Erling Haaland denied his allegations.

Rangnick said that the allegations that there is a bonus clause of 8 million pounds in his contract if the Norwegian player transfers to Manchester United do not reflect the truth, however, he said that Haaland is a great player.

Stating that it would be absurd to have such a clause in his contract, the German coach answered the allegations in a humorous way:

"I'll get £10 million for Kylian Mbappe, £10 million for Joshua Kimmich, £10m for Haaland million and £10m for Robert Lewandowski...

"To be frank, these claims do not make sense. It is not right to talk about new signatures and speculations. There is no such clause in my contract.

"However, I can say that Haaland is a great player. I know him very well because I was involved in his transfer to Salzburg when I was working there.

"Everybody knows what a great player he is now, but at the time we were one of the few people who knew him.

"I'm very happy with my offensive players here, so I don't feel the need to talk about players from other teams."
