Mikel Arteta: Arsenal is far from my team

Feeling that the North London team is not currently reflecting their original goals, Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta believes they are making progress.

Stating that Arsenal's position in the league is unacceptable this season, Mikel Arteta says that the English team is far from being his own team.

Arsenal, who stood up with consecutive wins in January, defeated Leicester City 3-1 on the road last week.

However, they are ranked 10th in the Premier League and Arteta thinks there is surely a way to reach their goals.

Arsenal manager feels that the current performance of the British team does not reflect his own goals.

"Arsenal is far from my team right now. Far, far away."

"There is still a lot to improve. We have to be much more efficient at making decisions, much faster when we gain advantages."

"We have to control the game more, defend more on the opponent's court. There is a lot to do, more goals, more creativity. We have to do a lot."

"It is unacceptable when you look at the league table. We are Arsenal and we should not be close to these rows. If someone is happy with this situation, he is in the wrong place."

Since December 25, Arsenal have won seven out of 12 league games, making 23 points out of 36 points total.

During this time, Arsenal was placed in the third place but could not be permanent.

Manchester City (36) and West Ham United (24) scored more points than Arteta's team after December, and the two Manchester teams City and United scored more goals than Arsenal.

Although he says that Arsenal is still not where he wanted it, the Spanish manager believes his team is heading in the right direction.

When asked if he saw any signs that his team was approaching their future goals, the Arsenal manager said:

"Yes I see."

"I think when you look at the games a few months ago and look where the team is now, you can see the progress."
