Mourinho, who lost to Lazio in the derby, spread anger

The Portuguese coach reacted to the referees after the defeat.

The capital derby, played between Lazio and Rome in Serie A, was the scene of a scoring and enjoyable fight. As Lazio reached three points with a score of 3-2, the tension never dropped for 90 minutes.

In the first half, Lazio had two different advantages with goals from Milinkovic-Savic and former Roman Pedro. Roma entered the locker room hopeful, closing the lead to one with Ibanez's goal.

Lazio doubled the lead with Anderson in the second half. Bringing the score to 3-2 with Veretout's penalty goal, Roma could not find the number of draws in the remaining 21 minutes.

While the Lazio front celebrated the victory by flying an eagle in the stadium after the match, the players and coach Maurizio Sarri did not neglect to pose with the eagle, which is the symbol of the club.

Speaking to DAZN after the match, Mourinho lashed out at the referees.

“Unfortunately, the referees and VAR ruined a great match. They didn't show a performance worthy of the level of this match."

Mourinho praised the rising quality of football in Serie A after the referee criticism.

“Italian football has made great progress compared to 10 years ago. Football quality, offensive thinking, the will to win, all these areas have been advanced.”
