Neymar goal to her friend who died in plane crash

The PSG star commemorated Marilia Mendonça with an emotional message after she aired the Bordeaux nets.

Neymar, who scored the goal that opened the curtain in the match where Paris Saint-Germain beat Bordeaux 3-2, paid homage to Marilia Mendonça with the message on the t-shirt under her jersey.

The 26-year-old Brazilian singer tragically died when the plane he was on to go to a concert in his country crashed.

Mendonça's uncle and producer are among the five people who lost their lives in the accident. The loss of Mendonça, a popular star across the country, stunned Brazil.

Neymar, who was shocked by hearing the news of the accident, shared the following message on Twitter.

“I don't want to believe, I don't want to. Before I went to sleep, I prayed to God that everything was a dream, but today I woke up from a nightmare.”

Carrying his team to victory with two goals against Bordeaux, Neymar lifted his shirt after the first goal and showed the message he prepared for Mendonça to the cameras.

“Queen of sorrows, I will forever be your fan, rest in peace MM (Maria Mendonça).”

Mendonça was known as the 'queen of pain' because of the love songs she sang.
