“The Super League is freedom, it is self-management, it is financial fair-play against some unacceptable financial support, it is transparency, it is a solidarity to create a new football structure, it is respect for other tournaments and fans despite the information pollution.

“Young people are moving away from football. Our format will be open to the wishes of football fans whose future is at stake.

“The new format that UEFA has set for the Champions League, with more minor matches, is the final straw. This made things worse.

“This is why 12 European clubs came together. UEFA's harsh reaction has reborn the need to win our freedom.

“How can UEFA humiliate a club like Juventus? They opposed the Super League with everything.

“Three of these 12 clubs did not compromise on this agreement. The three of us have a total of 20 European Cups. We have to remind UEFA who Real Madrid is."
