Real Madrid describes UEFA's draw error as scandalous

The relationship between Real Madrid and UEFA, which is already strained due to the European Super League, may become even more strained after the mistake.

The draw for the first qualifying phase of Europe's premier competition was held in Nyon on Monday morning, with Madrid paired with Portuguese team Benfica in the first draw.

In the round of 16, Manchester United faced Villarreal, although the two teams from the same group were not allowed to meet again.
