How do you feel during this period of your career?

I think I am in a really good place both personally and professionally. This is a good sign. It's all about how you physically protect yourself. Today, I feel good and do my best for my team.

You're having your 15th season in Real Madrid. What is the secret of success? How did you manage to stay on top for so long?

How did Zidane instill his own philosophy to you?

Zidane is a great coach. He succeeded not only as a coach but also as a player with this club. He does a really good job in the locker room. He lived as an actor, now he knows how to manage like a coach. He manages to keep everyone motivated. This is one of Zizou's greatest talents. He knows exactly what to ask each player exactly. A great privilege. A reward for sacrifices and hard work over the years. I am very happy for this situation. I hope I can get a chance to stay in Real Madrid and get more derby. El Clasico is not a normal match.

Which match would you prefer if I asked you to choose one El Clasico?

In the season when we won double trophies, we were 1-0 behind in Camp Nou. In the last minutes of the match, I brought the match together with the head shot that Modric sent from the free kick. It was a very important point for the race in the league. We announced our championship in Malaga months after this match. The goal I scored was a really important goal for the championship we won. This match may not be the most important or high profile El Clasico, but it was definitely a game I will never forget.

You mentioned the importance of El Clasico. What do you think of the week before the Barcelona game and the last minutes before the match?

If there is no Champions League or trophy match that week, it will be very different. This match is an event that makes our league and the players in the league more important. A great match to gain experience. I try to step back, concentrate and prepare for the game.

The two teams are very close together. The difference in points is minimal and the outcome of the match will affect the whole season, but there is still a long way to end the season and many points to collect. Anything can happen. However, a win against our fans is very important for us. It will give us extra motivation and keep the field strong.

I think I was very lucky to watch the duel of two top players like Sergio Ramos - Messi. What do you think about being part of this duel?

I have great respect for Messi. I think it's one of the biggest players in history. I hope Sunday won't have his day and we'll leave with a better result.
