Following Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham have also announced that they have withdrawn from the European Super League.
Arsenal's separation statement was the most striking.
"We made a mistake. We apologize."
Ed Woodward, the head of the Red Devils, resigned from his post. According to Goal's information, Woodward's resignation is not related to participation in the European Super League and will remain in office until the end of 2021.
Woodward was one of the key supporters of the Europa Super League, along with Manchester United owner Joel Glazer.
Another of the founding clubs of the European Super League, Liverpool, the players of the English team issued a joint statement, emphasizing that they are against the European Super League.
"We didn't like the European Super League and we don't want it to happen. This is our common view. Our commitment to this club and its supporters is unquestioned and unconditional.
