UEFA meets today: the fate of EURO 2020 will be clear

With these developments, UEFA postponed the quarterfinals with the matches that should be played this week in the Champions League and Europa League and announced that a meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 17 with member federations.

With today's meeting, EURO 2020, which is planned to be held in 12 different cities of Europe this season, is expected to be postponed for one year. With this possible decision, it is aimed to complete the leagues in the summer months.

It is also on the agenda that the tournament is postponed to December this year, although there is a lower probability. The complete cancellation of the organization does not come to the fore among the mentioned options.

Other UEFA tournaments that should be played in the spring and summer of 2021 are the European Women's Football Championship, the League of Nations and the U21 European Championship. The institution has to find solutions to play these tournaments after the delay of this EURO 2020.
