Undefended Benjamin Mendy will remain in prison

The French left-back is on trial for five separate crimes.

The sudden disappearance of Benjamin Mendy was a subject that everyone wondered, and the truth came out later.

The French left-back is accused of four acts of rape and one sexual assault and continues to stand trial.

After the hearing, which took place on September 10, it was decided that Mendy would remain in prison until the end of the year. The Manchester City player has only just been authenticated in court.

At the trial, it is reported that Mendy was not asked any questions regarding these crimes and he himself did not make any defense.

There is no chance of Mendy getting his freedom in exchange for money. Because the court rejected the offer to be released on bail.

For Mendy, who will spend this year in prison, a new 2-3-week trial period will begin in January 2022.

It was claimed that the French left-back had a nervous breakdown when he realized that this was not the case, although he thought he would stay in the VIP section of the prison where celebrities are held.

Speaking to The Sun, one of the prison guards said that he thought Mendy would stay in the VIP section for his own safety and that of his staff, and commented:

"Facing reality was a very painful moment of realization for him. He was not happy and could not control himself."

Manchester City announced that Mendy's contract was suspended due to the investigation and that a second statement would not be made until the process was completed.
