Xabi Alonso becomes new coach of La Liga team

Real Sociedad announced that Spanish coach Xabi Alonso has been appointed head of the team.

Xabi Alonso, who died in 2017 with the Bayern Munich jersey, is the first coach of the team.

The Spanish coach became the new coach of Real Sociedad, where he coached the b team in 2019. According to the statement made by the La Liga team, an agreement was reached with the 39-year-old coach until 2022.

After quitting football, Xabi Alonso, who worked for Real Madrid as an youth coach for a while, became the manager of the Real Sociedad B Team in 2019.

Xabi Alonso, who started his professional football career at Real Sociedad, was transferred to Liverpool in 2004. The next stop of the Spanish midfielder, who stayed in the English team for 5 years, was Real Madrid.

Having achieved many successes in Real Madrid, Alonso signed for Bayern Munich in 2014. He also left football in Bayern Munich.
