Zlatan Ibrahimovic: I like Kylian Mbappe but not enough

Former PSG star says Kylian Mbappe needs to focus on his flaws to get better.

Kylian Mbappe "must taste blood", says Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who says the Paris Saint-Germain star must learn to "walk on fire" and "suffer" to reach his full potential.

Kylian Mbappe, who helped PSG reach multiple trophies and France's World Cup victory in 2018, is regarded as one of the best strikers in the world but faced a number of challenges to unleash his potential in the 2021/22 season.

The 22-year-old player, who missed the Lille game on Friday due to his illness, was allegedly distracted after not being able to transfer to Real Madrid last summer. According to Ibrahimovic, the French star has a lack of motivation.

The Milan star, who played for PSG from 2012-2016, says Mbappe needs to focus more on his flaws to improve himself:

Speaking to Telefoot about Kylian Mbappe, Ibrahimovic said: "I love him but I don't find it enough." said.

"He might very well learn to suffer. He must taste blood and walk on fire."

"He should surround himself with people who tell him he's not good enough and will get better."

When asked where he would put Kylian Mbappe, one of Europe's top players, Ibrahimovic replied:

"Kylian Mbappe is in my top 10. There have been top names for a long time but Erling Haaland and who else could it be among the youngsters? Ibrahimovic (!), no need to talk about the others!"

Comparing his era and current PSG, Zlatan Ibrahimovic does not find the current Paris sufficient:

"No, they are not better. Because we were a team. The current PSG is not a team. Maybe they can be later. I believe in this team, but they are not the best."
